This has now become my favorite series! Just a recap on Tiger’s Curse, Ren and Kelsey are traveling around India to break a 300 year old curse. There is a bad man named Lokesh looking for them so he can take the amulets that hold great magical powers. Kelsey goes all love crazy and leaves Ren to find what he likes. Blah Blah Blah.

Okay so in Tiger’s Quest, we get to see Kelsey and Ren’s relationship grow into something so beautiful. Although the way they get there is a little ummm, different I should say. So after all the loving stuff is interrupted by Lokesh, Ren is captured and Kelsey if left to do her adventures with Kishan, who is like a baby in the real world lol so cute!

So I’m going to stop there because I’ll end up telling the whole book. I loved the growth of the characters in this book. I connected so much with Kelsey and Kishan that I actual feel like I’ve held phone conversations with them before. To all my girls out there that love the heart broken bad boys in books, Kishan is most definitely the one for you…this whole series is the one for you.

Wow! If I wasn’t so obsessed with telling the world how awesome this book is, Wow is all I would be able to say!! So let me start by saying Cyndi is awesome. She actually was talking about her egg horde on twitter and it wasn’t until later in the conversation that I found out she wrote a book. So I read a sample and I was hooked from the first page! I bought the book within a blink of an eye.

I loved the characters. Lindsey was easy to relate to. She was your typical teenage girl, but I loved her because she wasn’t what we teenage girls are stereo typed to be. She was even a virgin!!!!

Now Aiden MacRae he is what I imagine to be a very sexy, long haired, blue eyed, well built, piece of Scottish hotness!!! Oh yea, he is!!! I loved him as well. He wasn’t my typical bad boy type, but he was devilishly sexy and flirtatious. And he was so in love with God that it made my heart melt!

Yes this book has so many Christian references but it wasn’t like a type of book that would make you feel bad if you weren’t right with God. Cyndi wrote this book as real as possible. The emotion of anger one would feel towards God during heart break was so evident but it’s also made obvious that there is power in prayer!

I loved this book. It had me crying tears of happiness then crying tears of sorrow and back to happy tears. So much emotion was put in this book that I would believe if the author if she told me this was about her! I recommend this book to EVERYBODY!!!! Thanks Cyndi Tefft for putting a book like this in my life! 5 rings outta 5!

Q. If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

A: I would most definitely be in the Tiger's Quest series. I love the adventure in the book as well as Kishan. I would take all his pain away in a heartbeat lol! Living in a mansion in India would also be really cool as well as learning all the culture and myths.

I can not wait to read this book! I just have to know what happens to Rhine and Gabriel!!! Also this cover is really...intriguing and kind of a contradiction. I mean there is a rocking horse in the background and that kind of makes me happy but then I look at this girl and she is all sad. lol Anyways, I'm not finished with dystopian books yet!

Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie

So dystopian book number 2 and I must say, this one was a lot harder for me to read. To me, this book didn’t have much…personality I guess that’s what you could call it. It was a good book, but I’m much more partial to more exciting books.

Cassia and her “perfect” little “Society” were perfectly boring. Everyone had everything handed to them based on data, so while I was reading this book I’m thinking “How the heck am I going to finish this predictable book?” Next thing I know, I’m sucked into this book trying to figure out how this perfect society made a mistake with Cassia’s matched. Pretty much, I was in and out of the book. I would get boring then interesting, but never exciting.

I loved the characters though. I didn’t have a particular feeling for Cassia but Ky is a different story. I couldn’t help but love him. He came from the scum of the society, forced to be an outcast but he is so deep and complex. He was probably the only reason why I didn’t put the book down on the slow parts. Then there is Xander. I loved him as well. His charming, confident, and intelligent personality drew me to him and a first I thought Cassia was completely crazy for jeopardizing their relationship. Personally though, I think Ky would have been more my type as well.

Now, it might seem as if I didn’t enjoy this book much and I didn’t BUT, I want to read the next book because the ending made me absolutely want more! So 3.5 kittens in a can out of 5!

This book was incredibly sad. As a matter of fact, it was the saddest book I ever read! Women only like to see 20 and men only to 25!! What’s the point of curing cancer if I would live longer with it!? Let me also add, this was my first dystopian book ever read so if I seem a little overwhelmed, please bear with me. Are they all tear jerkers like this?? Gosh! Okay anyways, aside from being really sad, I liked the book. The characters were different and they all seemed to suffer from mood swings…what’s up with that?? The main character, Rhine, has a blue eye and a brown eye and immediately I loved her simply because that little info about her reminded me of Graceling, which is also an awesome read. She is a determined little lady, never truly forgetting her home and her goal to return there.

She was extremely different from her “sister wives” Jenna and Cecily. Jenna seems to be the depressed just kill me now types but blooms into a feisty little thing as we learn some of her dirty little secrets. She and Rhine also develop a very close relationship. I loved Jenna’s character as well after she opened up. Her story had me bawling on my bed room floor and sucking my thumb like a baby =-(.Cecily…big cry baby, naïve child, pretty stupid girl are just some of the things that come to mind when we talk about Cecily, but I guess I can’t really blame her for her actions sense she didn’t know any better. She was close with her sister wives as well but she wasn’t trusted with the secrets Rhine and Jenna shared. She was father-in-laws little pet.

There’s a little bit of everything in this book, a love triangle, suspense, sorrow, humor. Actually no, I take that back, there was no humor in this book lol. The guys in this book didn’t have as much character in this book like the females did, but they added a certain quality to the book. Vaughn, the evil father in law…is pretty freaking evil! OH MY!!! But he adds that needed dose of “UGH I can’t stand this person” and Linden, the husband, that poor clueless man. I actually liked Linden but not more than Gabriel, the servant who first fell for Rhine.

Over all this book was well written and it made me want to keep reading by adding so many questions I needed answers to. I give it 4 out of 5 penguins only because I don’t think dystopian books are really my type of books.
